A Game-Changer for Women in Trades: ‘Sabla’ App Offers Path to Financial Independence”

Noida, 28 October. In a groundbreaking initiative aimed at empowering women in trades, a new website and Android app, “Sabla,” developed by 12th-grade student Tejas Dahiya, has been launched. This platform simplifies the application process for women seeking training and financial assistance in trades traditionally dominated by men, providing a critical step towards economic independence for underserved women. Initially launched in an aspirational district Bahraich of U.P., the Sabla app is expected to expand across Uttar Pradesh following its initial success.

Designed to dismantle barriers and boost female workforce participation, the Sabla platform supports women pursuing skill development in trades like soft toys, handicrafts, papad and pickle production, plumbing, electrical work, automobile repair, and more. Through accessible financial aid and training, the initiative aims to address the growing demand for skilled female workers in these sectors.

Sabla offers comprehensive training programs that include vocational skills, computer and financial literacy, and life skills. Furthermore, the platform provides essential support services such as counseling, mentorship, and healthcare access, helping women overcome challenges like domestic violence, health issues, or social isolation. To further assist, financial support in the form of scholarships, loans, or grants is made available, helping women surmount financial hurdles and pursue their chosen careers with confidence.

A robust user-management system underpins Sabla, assigning clear roles to each stakeholder—beneficiaries, district officials, nodal officers, banks, and other departments—ensuring seamless coordination. Women interested in applying for financial support can visit www.sabla.in or download the Sabla app from the Google Play Store for details on eligibility and application deadlines.

In an era of increasing gender equality, Sabla stands out as a pivotal tool for women’s empowerment, offering pathways to skill acquisition, economic independence, and meaningful contributions to the workforce.
